RIPTA to Detour Route 19 (Plainfield/Westminster) in Johnston to Accommodate Annual Kids’ Fun Day Celebration on Saturday, June 28, 2008
June 25, 2008 - Providence, Rhode Island... The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) will detour Route 19 (Plainfield/Westminster) in Johnston on Saturday, June 28th in order to accommodate the Annual Kid’s Fun Day Celebration. The detour will be in effect from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.
The route will detour as follows:
Outbound: Trips leaving downtown Providence will travel the regular route to Plainfield Street and Laurel Hill, take a right onto Laurel Hill, left onto Hartford Avenue, left onto Killingly Street, right onto Duxbury Street through to Plainfield Street, and then resume the regular route.
Inbound: Trips into downtown Providence will travel the regular route to Plainfield Street through to Duxbury Street, left onto Killingly Street, right onto Hartford Avenue, right onto Laurel Hill, left onto Plainfield Street, then resume the regular route.
