Parking Cash Out

Under current tax law, employers may allow employees to "CASH OUT" the value of employer provided parking and use the equivalent value for transit/vanpool benefits or receive additional taxable cash.

• Employees get freedom of choice and additional income while employers have a mechanism to reduce parking requirements and contribute to traffic reduction efforts.
