These are exciting times for Providence as the capital city experiences a renaissance. To ensure that Kennedy Plaza -- Providence's historic transportation center -- keeps up with the changing needs of visitors, commuters and pedestrians, RIPTA reconstructed the Plaza and created a new state-of-the-art Intermodal Transportation Center in 2002.
