The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) will detour Route 42 (Hope Street) to accommodate the Thayer Street Festival. The detour will be in effect beginning with the first trip of the day on Saturday, May 5^th through the last trip of the day on Sunday, May 6^th.  Thayer Street will be closed during this time.

The following route detour will be in effect on May 5^th and 6^th:

Route #42 (Hope Street):                                                                                                         Inbound trips will travel the regular route to the intersection of Hope and Thayer Streets, continue on Hope Street, take a right onto Angell Street, left onto Thayer Street and then resume regular route.

Outbound tripswill travel the regular route.
