Due to concrete pouring for a floor at the Wheeler School’s new Center for Community and Performing Arts, Angell Street will be closed between Brook and Hope Streets on Friday, January 10, 2014. As a result, the Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) will detour Routes 35 (Rumford) 40 (Butler/Elmgrove/Tunnel) and 78 (Beverage Hill/Newport Ave.) from the first trip of the day until 6:30pm on Friday, January 10, 2104.

Route 35 (Rumford), Route 40 (Butler/Elmgrove/Tunnel) and 78 (Beverage Hill/Newport Ave.) will detour as follows:

Inbound trips will travel the regular route to the intersection of Angell and Hope Streets, right onto Hope Street, left onto Bowen Street, left onto Thayer Street, and then resume the regular route.

Outbound trips will travel the regular route.
