The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) will detour Route 60 (Providence/Newport) to accommodate construction on the Silver Creek Bridge in Bristol. The detour will begin with the first trip of the day on Monday, March 2, 2020 and continue approximately through the end of August 2020. Route 60 Inbound will not serve Hope Street between Chestnut Street and Franklin Street.

The following detour will be in effect beginning March 2, 2020: 

Route 60 (Providence/Newport):

Inbound trips will travel the regular route to Hope Street, turn right onto Franklin Street, left onto Wood Street, right onto Bayview Avenue, left onto Metacom Avenue, left onto Chestnut Street, right onto Hope Street and then resume regular route.

Outbound trips will travel the regular route.
