NOTICE OF AVAILABLE FUNDS FOR INTERCITY BUS SERVICE 

In accordance with federal regulations, the Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) is soliciting consultation with Intercity Bus Carriers for the use of Section 5311(f) grant funds supporting intercity bus service. The U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Transit Administration (FTA) requires each state to consult with Intercity Bus Carriers for assistance in developing projects. RIPTA will hold a public meeting on June 22, 2023 at 3pm at 705 Elmwood Avenue, Providence, RI. Comments may be sent to planning@ripta.com by June 22, or by calling (401) 784-9500 x1205. Following the public meeting, if it is determined that intercity service is being adequately met, funds will be used to support rural services. ADA and Title VI Requirements: Special accommodations are available to the public upon request.
