Free Shuttle Service to Accommodate Park Avenue Bridge Closing

The Park Avenue Bridge will be closed to auto and pedestrian traffic beginning May 15, 2021 as it works to replace the old, structurally deficient bridge. The project is expected to last about four months.

During this time, RIPTA will provide free shuttle service to accommodate pedestrians who will not have access to the Park Avenue Railroad Bridge.  The shuttle will allow people walking on Park Avenue to connect from Doric Avenue on the west side of the bridge to Elmwood Avenue on the east side of the bridge. 

Shuttle service will be available daily, every 30 minutes from 6am to 10pm. It will serve two bus stops:

One-stop will be located on the west side of Doric Avenue at the corner of Park Avenue and the other stop will be on Park Avenue on the south side of the street at the corner of Elmwood Avenue. The two shuttle stops will be marked with special blue and white signs.
