Technical Working Group
The Technical Working Group (TWG) serves as a sounding board for technical decisions through the study. It here where members can raise local concerns, issues and/or opportunities and allows RIPTA and the consulting team to provide good answers and help craft solutions. This group helps us engage with a broad and representative cross-section of the communities within the corridor area. The two high capacity transit corridors we’re studying are considered regionally significant projects within the state’s Long-Range Transportation Plan (LRTP), the group provides a forum for us collectively to think regionally, leading up to final locally-preferred alternatives.
Participants on the working group include planners and engineers in the study area, RIDOT and other relevant state agencies, Federal Transit Administration (FTA), and community representatives.
