Call Center Will Now Open at 6 AM Weekdays Starting Tuesday, January 21, 2025
The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) is pleased to announce the expansion of its Customer Service Call Center hours. Beginning Tuesday, January 21, 2025, the Call Center will now be open starting at 6 AM on weekdays (instead of 8:30 AM) to better serve its passengers. The new hours of operation will be Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, and Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 1 PM to 4 PM.
This expansion aims to provide more comprehensive support to the transit agency’s passengers, ensuring that they have access to the information and assistance they need. The decision to extend hours comes as part of RIPTA’s ongoing commitment to enhancing customer service and improving the overall passenger experience.
“As we continue to hire and expand our workforce, we are committed to making meaningful improvements that enhance the experience of our passengers,” said Christopher Durand, Chief Executive Officer. “We understand that many people use our services early in the morning, and it is important that our Call Center is available during the same times they are riding our buses. This change reflects RIPTA’s dedication to improving the passenger experience.”
Passengers can reach the Customer Service Call Center by calling 401-784-9500 x2012.
