The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) will detour Route 50 (Douglas Avenue), Route 56 (Chalkstone Avenue) and Route 57 (Smith Street) on Saturday, August 18, 2018 to accommodate the Bolivian Parade.   The detour will be in effect from 1pm until 2pm on Saturday, August 18, 2018.   

The following routes will be detoured on Saturday, August 18, 2018:

Route 50 (Douglas Avenue):

Inbound trips will travel the regular route to the intersection of State and Smith

Streets, right onto Smith Street, left onto Francis Street and then resume regular

route.

Outbound trips will travel the regular route to Francis Street continuing onto

Smith Street, turn left onto Smith Street, and then resume regular route.

Route 56 (Chalkstone Avenue):

Inbound trips will travel the regular route to Smith Street, right onto Francis Street, and then resume regular route.

Outbound trips will travel the regular route to Francis Street, left onto Francis Street, and then resume regular route.

Route 57 (Smith Street):

Please refer to the Route 56 (Chalkstone Avenue) detour.
