RIPTA to Detour Route 50 (Douglas Avenue) to Accommodate North Providence’s 10TH Annual Memorial Day Parade & Celebration on Monday, May 29, 2017

The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) will detour Route 50 (Douglas Avenue) on Monday, May 29, 2017 to accommodate the 10th Annual Memorial Day Parade and Celebration in North Providence.   The detour will be in effect from 12:45pm through 2:45pm. Please note that Route 50 will be running on a Sunday/Holiday schedule on Monday, May 29.

Route 50 will detour as follows on Monday, May 29, 2017:

Inbound trips will travel the regular route to the intersection of Douglas Pike and                  

Twin River Road, left onto Twin River Road, right onto the Rte. 146S on-ramp to Rte. 146S, right at the Mineral Spring Exit, right onto Mineral Spring Avenue, left onto Douglas Avenue, and then resume regular route. 

Outbound trips will travel the regular route to the intersection of Douglas and Mineral Spring Avenues, right onto Mineral Spring Avenue, left onto Charles Street, right onto the Rte. 146N on-ramp onto Rte. 146N, right at the Twin River Road Exit, left onto Twin River Road, right onto Douglas Pike, and then resume regular route.
