The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) will detour Route 92 (RI College/Federal Hill/East Side) to accommodate Rhode Island Department of Transportation (RIDOT) construction. The detour will be in effect beginning Monday, January 5, 2015 and is expected to continue through the end of the year. The Atwells Avenue Bridge will be closed during construction.

The following detour will be in effect beginning Monday, January 5, 2015:

Route 92 (RI College/Federal Hill/East Side):

Eastbound trips from RI College will travel the regular route to Atwells Avenue, turn left onto Valley Street, right onto Ericson Place (behind Price Rite), left onto Atwells Avenue and then resume regular route.

Westbound trips from Kennedy Plaza will travel the regular route to Atwells Avenue, right onto Ericson Place, left onto Valley Street, left onto Amherst Street, left onto Tuxedo Avenue, left onto Atwells Avenue and then resume regular route

During construction, bus stops located on Atwells Avenue in front of Price Rite will be temporarily relocated to Valley Street.
