Express Beach Bus Returns for the Season

The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) will implement summer service changes effective Saturday, June 15, 2024.  RIPTA makes regular service adjustments three times a year in response to seasonal changes and/or passenger use.

2024 Summer Service Changes

These annual season changes are minor and include some trip time adjustments and the start of select summer services, such as the return of free shuttle service to the Providence/Newport ferry. Summer services scheduled to start Saturday, June 15 include increased frequency on Route 67 (Bellevue/Mansions). Route 67 and Route 68 (CCRI Newport/Memorial Blvd./First Beach) will be free for passengers through October 31, 2024, courtesy of Discover Newport and the Episcopal Diocese of Rhode Island.  Visit RIPTA.com/Newport to learn more.

Route 95X (Westerly Park & Ride) will serve the Community College of Rhode Island (CCRI) Knight Campus in Warwick connecting passengers to Routes 13, 14, 16, 21, 22, 23, 29, 30, 66 and Flex 242. In the afternoon, stay on the bus and ride through CCRI for a seamless trip to the Westerly Train Station.
