Similar to other on-demand rideshare services, Flex On Demand allows passengers to use a smartphone app to request a ride to and from anywhere they wish to travel within the Flex Zone. Following a ride request, the app will provide an estimated pick-up time, track rides in real-time, and provide an alert upon arrival.
No surge pricing, fully ADA accessible,
curb-to-curb service, and it’s easy to use!
Flex On Demand is available in Narragansett, South Kingstown and Kingston. Travel within the zone or transfer to a RIPTA bus!

After the van picks you up, it will proceed to your destination, picking up and dropping off other passengers along the way.
You can travel anywhere within the 203 Flex Zone (URI/Narragansett/South Kingstown).

We offer wheelchair-accessible vehicles for those with limited mobility.
You can easily book a ride through the Flex On Demand app, which you can download in the Google Play or App Store. Simply input your pick-up location and drop-off location within the 203 Flex Zone and the time you’d like to ride - up to 24 hours in advance! The app will tell you when the Flex Van will pick you up and when it’s on the way.
Download the Flex on Demand app from the App Store or Google Play Store and create an account.
Enter your pick-up and drop-off addresses and you will be grouped with passengers headed in the same direction for quick and efficient trips.
The app will tell you exactly where to board the Flex Van.
Pay your fare when you board using cash (exact change only) or Wave.

Can I transfer to/from a RIPTA bus to a Flex On Demand van?
Yes.
Is Flex On Demand wheelchair accessible?
Yes, all Flex vans are wheelchair accessible. Please note, that you are only able to book one wheelchair space per trip. Parties traveling with multiple wheelchairs must book individual trips for each wheelchair space needed.

How do I pay for my ride?

How long does it take to get a Flex On Demand ride?
Most passengers wait between 5 to 15 minutes, although during busy times, wait times may be slightly longer.
How many people will I share a ride with?
The number of passengers you will share a ride with varies depending on who is headed in the same direction at the same time. Vehicles and bookings are limited to a capacity of 12 riders with space for 1 wheelchair.
How do I know where to meet my driver?
After you book a ride, the app will display your pick-up spot — we’ll either give you the address or business name at your pick-up spot to help you find it. Either way, there will always be a dotted line to show you how to get there. When making a phone booking, the customer service agent will inform you of the pick-up location.
